Shaping light like never before – Our latest studio upgrades

Hi everyone, Filipe here.

If you have been in the studio recently, you might have seen me wandering around holding shiny bits of kit and grinning like a kid at Christmas. That is because we have added some serious new tools to the Niltoni Studios lighting setup.

First up is our Optical Snoot Spot Projector with shutter blades. This means we can now shape and focus light with precision that you normally only see on high-end film sets. Whether it is carving out a perfect spotlight or adding texture with gobos, it gives us full creative control without juggling endless flags and reflectors.

We have also added a large selection of gels. This opens up endless colour options. Want a soft cinematic blue? A deep moody red? Something that feels like golden hour even when it is midnight in Newcastle? We can do it.

On top of that, we have introduced a crystal ball and a glass prism to the studio. These little pieces of glass might seem simple, but they create incredible in-camera effects, dreamy reflections, refractions and a bit of magic that no Photoshop filter can match.

Why does this matter for you? Every photoshoot or film session here can now have a completely different look. Sharp, soft, coloured or dramatic, we can build the mood you need quickly and without expensive extras.
